Naoko Oshima is a visual artist living in Kingston New York. Originally from Kyoto, Japan she graduated from Tama Art University in Tokyo before moving to New York City, in 1992. She studied at the School of Visual Arts and the Art Students League in New York City. Her art work is mixed media, watercolor, and paintings. The range of her work explores images of her imagination including, landscapes and animals. Her realist paintings depict portraits that explore human introspection. On view in this exhibition, Collecting Memories, is a water color of an image of a snake in all its beauty as imagined by Oshima.
