NO JUSTICE!

Exhibition: NO JUSTICE!

Dates: Thursday, August 4, - Sunday, August 28, 2022

The West Strand Art Gallery in Kingston New York is pleased to present

NO JUSTICE! an exhibition of 11 large woodblock prints by the artists Rob Swainston and Zorawar Sidhu, a collaborative duo exploring the intersection of historical print processes with contemporary news media. 2020 was a tumultuous year between COVID and mass protests against racial injustice in a highly divided political atmosphere. During the summer much of Manhattan was boarded up with plywood. Swainston and Sidhu collected this conceptually charged material for a series of woodblock prints documenting a montage of events from the protests to the January 6th insurrection.
